  2. Find other people who also care about what you care about to collaborate with.
    • Explore our Arts Ed Now website and join our Action Hub to connect with other advocates and learn how to ask for Theatre Ed NOW!
  3. Meet with the person who makes the decisions/holds the purse strings, etc.
    • Depending on your district it is the Superintendent, in schools it is the principal.
    • Attend a school board meeting! Ask your superintendent or school principal how they decide what arts courses are offered in your district and/or school.

šŸ“£ BE A THEATRE ARTS STUDENT CHAMPION! šŸ“£

Theatre is a powerful platform that empowers you to express your thoughts, share your stories, and advocate for your beliefs. Your voice has the power to inspire change, challenge the status quo, and ignite passion in others. As we celebrate the progress we’ve made in arts education, let’s remember that not all students in the state have access to a theatre arts education (add theatre stats). It will take all of us—students, teachers, parents, and advocates—to ensure that every student has the chance to explore and pursue their creative passions.
Ā
We need you to be champions for the arts! Use the skills you’ve honed on stage to advocate for arts education in your schools and communities. Speak up for those who may not have a voice and share your experiences to inspire others. Together, we can create a powerful chorus demanding equitable access to arts education for every student. Imagine a future where every child can explore their creativity—this future is within our reach, but it requires your commitment and action. Stand up, speak out, and let your voices resonate far and wide. Your voice matters—let it be heard!
