Workshop with Rosie Grant, Executive Director of Paterson Education Fund

This workshop helps arts advocates and community members follow the money by learning how school budgets are structured, where arts education funding typically lives, and how to identify both dedicated and discretionary dollars. Participants will also practice the Ask the Right Question strategy to develop clear, targeted questions that can be used in budget hearings, public testimony, and meetings with district leaders.
About Rosie Grant:
Rosie Grant serves as Executive Director of the Paterson Education Fund (PEF), where she has devoted more than three decades to transformative educational leadership. With deep expertise in organizational development and board governance, Rosie has led strategic planning processes, capacity-building efforts, and community partnerships that strengthen public education and nonprofit growth. She is a founding board member of Save Our Schools NJ and serves on the boards of the NJ Community Schools Coalition, the Gertrude Butts Memorial Association, and the Passaic County FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program. A sought-after facilitator and strategist, Rosie guides equity-centered leadership development and mobilizes diverse stakeholders to advance public education and nonprofit impact.
