DID YOU KNOW THAT ONLY 3% OF NJ STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN DANCE CLASSES AT SCHOOL?
Take Action By Learning More:
- Assess what is happening at your local school and in your district.
- Find out if your district or school offers dance taught by a certified dance educator for K-12 students.
- Find other people who also care about what you care about to collaborate with.
- Explore our Arts Ed Now website and join our Action Hub to connect with other advocates and learn how to ask for Dance Ed NOW!
- Meet with the person who makes the decisions/holds the purse strings, etc.
- Depending on your district it is the Superintendent, in schools it is the principal.
- Attend a school board meeting! Ask your superintendent or school principal how they decide what arts courses are offered in your district and/or school.
